macOS 13 Ventura or later · Apple silicon & Intel · Free, no account

Early design of the app. The final version may look different.

What it cleans

Find the gigabytes you didn’t know you had.

The usual suspects that grow quietly in the background, sorted by how much room they’ll give back.

  • Caches & logs

System and app caches, old logs and crash reports that pile up and are safe to rebuild.

  • App leftovers

Remove an app with everything it left behind: preferences, support files and launch agents.

  • Large & old files

A map of your disk that puts the biggest and longest-untouched files first.

  • Developer junk

Xcode DerivedData, old simulators, node_modules and package caches, sized up project by project.

  • Duplicates

Files that are byte-for-byte the same, grouped so you keep one and let the rest go.

  • Downloads & Trash

Old installers, disk images and archives in Downloads, and how much your Trash is holding.

Honest by design

A cleaner that doesn’t try to scare you.

Plenty of Mac cleaners shout about problems to sell a subscription. Kaizu Clean shows you the files, tells you what they are, and lets you decide.

  • You see every file first

Nothing is removed until you’ve looked at the list and pressed Clean.

  • Everything goes to the Trash

Changed your mind? Put it back from the Trash, like any other file.

  • Nothing leaves your Mac

No account, no upload, no tracking inside the app. It works offline.

  • No scare tactics

No red warnings, no fake “RAM boost”, no score that drops to make you pay.

Questions

Good to know.

Is it really free?

Yes. Like every Kaizu tool it’s free to use, with no trial and no locked features. It’s kept afloat by people who choose to support it on Ko-fi.

Is it safe to clean these files?

Kaizu Clean only suggests files that macOS or the app can rebuild, or that you’ve told it to look at. You review the list first, and everything goes to the Trash, so you can still put it back.

Why does it ask for Full Disk Access?

macOS hides some caches and app files from other apps. With Full Disk Access the scan can see and size them; without it, Kaizu Clean still works on the folders it’s allowed to read.

Does it run on my Mac?

It’s a native app for macOS 13 Ventura and later, on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

When can I download it?

Kaizu Clean is in development. The download will be right here when the first version is ready.
